Community Supported Massage Programs
Parkinson's Voucher Program
Here at the Vermont Massage Clinic, we see great results using massage and Chinese medicine to treat the symptoms associated with Parkinson's Disease. There can be short-term reductions in the motor symptoms such as tremors, cramping, rigidity, slowness of movement, gait and balance problems, etc. Equally as important, we also see improvements in the non-motor symptoms, such as mood disorders, fatigue, constipation, pain, etc.
The Parkinson's Voucher program was designed to help bring these healing benefits to Parkinson's patients who may not otherwise be able to afford regular bodywork.
How does it work?
To begin with, the Clinic offers our lowest rates to voucher recipients. From there, it relies on the community to provide donations to the cause. Those donations are accumulated in a fund, which is used to...
Pay for a voucher for the recipient's initial massage, in its entirety.
Pay the cost of a regular massage appointment thereafter (target: monthly).
IMPORTANT NOTE: This CSM is now funded through Untwisted Inc, our new 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to Parkinson's! Please visit the link below for more information and to find out how you can make a tax-deductible donation. If you have any questions or comments, or want to take advantage of this program, please don't hesitate to contact me.
"Pay What You Can" Program
Part of our mission here at the Vermont Massage Clinic to make regular massage treatments affordable. Similar to the Parkinson's program above, this program was designed to help bring the healing benefits of regular massage to those who cannot afford it.
How does it work?
We will work with you to determine a program frequency and cost that is both affordable and sustainable. The Clinic offers discounted rates to these participants. From there, it relies on community donations to assist with the cost of those treatments.
Again, this is a community funded program. If you'd like to contribute, please consider donating using the link below. If you have any questions or comments, or feel you are a candidate for this program, please don't hesitate to contact me.
